Where: Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Reserve, 20634 Kenswick Dr, Humble, TX 77338
This will be an informational table cover 12-15 common Texas wild edible and medicinal plants. It will not be guided plant walk but just one of the many informational demonstrations at the event.

Jesse H. Jones Park is located off FM1960 near Bush Intercontinental Airport.
You can find me and my table of plants up at the Redbud Hill Homestead section of the park which is where all the historical demonstrations of early Texas settler and Native Americans take place. It's a family friendly celebration with many crafts for kids. While there you can also partake in fresh-baked breads, smoked meats, Dutch oven cooking, tomahawk throwing, archery, listen to live pioneer music, and watch a reenactment of a Mexican-American War skirmish portrayed with real blackpowder firearms. That part can be a bit noisy.

Buy my book! Idiots Guide Foraging covers 70 of North America's tastiest and easy to find wild edibles shown with the same big pictures as here on the Foraging Texas website.
